Message > During reloading on stages 9 and 19, press Buttons A, B, and C for some strange messages.
Debug > At the title screen, press A, C, C, C, C, B, B, B, and B. Dave Perry's programmer screen will appear.
Multi-select > Start the game and go to an area with no enemy. Hold Start and press Buttons A, B, C, B, A, A, B, C, B, A, and B. Let go of Start and press and hold Start for invincibility, Button A to become a Fighter Ace, Button B to go up against the Mothership, and Button C to fight the last boss. Continue to hold the buttons while you leave the hangar. Once the round begins, let go of the buttons.
Level skip > Press Start to pause the game, then press Buttons A, B, B, A, A, B, B, and A. This will bring you directly to the end of the level.
Janken > To be able to consistently defeat the gorilla in Janken use the following signs: paper, paper, scissors, rock, rock, scissors, scissors, paper. The pattern repeats itself indefinitely, allowing you to predict exactly the gorilla's moves. This pattern does not work for the queen, bear, or wizard.
Level skip > At the options screen, press C, up, right, down, Left, A, right, down on Controller Two. You should hear a tone. During game play press Start to pause the game, then press C, A, B while the game is paused. A green border will appear around the screen. Press Start to skip to the next level.
Debug mode > Wait for the Sega logo to disappear. Press and hold down Button A until the Game Arts logo disappears. Press and hold Button B until the Gainax logo disappears. Press and hold Button C until the "Music composed by..." credit disappears. Once the title screen appears and stars start flying out of the center press Start. A chime will sound to indicate the cheat worked.
Increase Alisa's hit points > Press Button A on Controller Two to pause the game, then press and hold the D-Button up on Controller One and press Button B on Controller Two. Alisa will gain another hit point bar.
Increase Alisa's level > Press Button A on Controller Two to pause the game, then press and hold the D-Button left on Controller One and press Button B on Controller Two. Alisa will be given the next lightning level. NOTE: the level displayed will stop increasing at the maximum level allowed for that stage and does not necessarily reflect the actual power level.
Increase monster level > Press Button A on Controller Two to pause the game, then press and hold the D-Button right on Controller One and press Button B on Controller Two. The monster currently selected will be given the next level up to the maximum of Level 3.
Invincibility > Press Button A on Controller Two to pause the game, then press and hold Button A (MONSTER SELECT) on Controller One and press Button B on Controller Two.
Level Skip > Press Button A on Controller Two to pause the game, then press C to warp ahead one level.
Change creature > During the title screen press and hold the D-Button down and left and Buttons A, B, and C and Start. You can now pick any creature for any round.

Secret game > Hit the ball 100 times on any hole without ever getting it in the hole. There will be a game over message. Now press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, Button B, Button A. A limited game of Fantasy Zone will appear until you reset the game.
Secret tournament > At the password screen enter: ffffffffffffffffff 999999999999999999. This will begin a new tournament and give you a new and more experienced caddie.
Unlimited Arrow Flashes > Go to the option screen and change "ARROW FLASH" from "STOCK" to "CHARGE." Exit the option screen and allow the demo to play completely through once. Begin the game and press and hold Button C to activate the Arrow Flash. It will last for a considerable length of time and can be reactivated at any time by releasing Button C and then pressing and holding Button C.
Level skip > To skip ahead a level at any point in the game press Start to pause the game, then press up and Button A, down and Button A, left and Button A, and right and Button A.

Multi-select > At the title screen, move the cursor to "OPTIONS" and press Button C ten times. Press Start, and you will be able to select the difficulty, music and sound effects, mission, and the number of lives and continues.

Auto-win a fight > Either start or continue your career using "THE BEAST" as your boxer and begin the fight. After "THE BEAST" has raised his head and the camera scrolls and is not pointed at either boxer, press Start and then choose to quit. You will be taken to the training screen and you will have won the fight. However, your power meter will have decreased.
Options select > At the options screen, set "MUSIC" to 05 and "SOUND FX" to 21, then move the cursor to "EXIT". Press and hold Buttons A, B, and C, then press Start. You will hear Shannon say "Too Easy!" The "CHEATER CHEATER MODE" menu will appear allowing you to select one of the following options: level select, unlimited lives, unlimited energy, unlimited weapons, or no battery.

Reopen chests > Save a game before opening a chest, then open the treasure chest. Save the game again and restore the same game. You'll reappear at the treasure chest, but it will be closed and refilled. Repeat this trick as many times as you want.
Extra continues > At the continue screen, press and hold the D-Button up and press A, B, and C simultaneously. Let go of A, B, and C, then press them all at the same time again. The number of credits will increase by one every time this is repeated.

Extra difficulty levels > At the options screen set "LEVEL SELECT" to easy and "CONTINUE" to 5. Move the cursor to "MUSIC SELECT" and select 8C, 8B, and 8A, then move the cursor to "SOUND SELECT" and select 90. This will give you the easiest difficulty mode. To select the mania level, follow the same procedure except set "LEVEL SELECT" to hard.
Player vs. same player > Select the two-player option at the title screen. Once you get to the character selection screen, move the cursor to the warrior you want to use. Level select > Go to the configuration mode by pressing and holding any combination of buttons and then pressing Start. Set the B.G.M. test to "18" and then press Button A on Controller Two. Select "EXIT," which will put you in the stage select screen.
Ultimate weapon > During the beginning of the first stage release the TOZ six times before capturing a ship. You will then have the heat-seeking T-Braster.
Weapon select > Use the stage select to jump to any level you choose. Press Start to pause the game, the press and hold the D-Button up. Press Button A to select any one of the 18 weapons.
Level select > Go to the options screen and move the pointer to "LEVEL." Then press Buttons A, C, B, and C. "ROUND SELECT" will appear under "SOUND TEST." Select a round and exit.
Invincibility > At the password screen, enter LTUS to start at World One with infinite lives. To skip to the end of the level press Button A and Start simultaneously.

Extra continues > When playing alone, you can get more continues by choosing the two player game and then letting the other player get out. In the arcade mode character selection screen, press and hold the D-Button down and left, and press Buttons A and C. Release the all the buttons and press Start. Level select > At the character selection screen, press Button B, press the D-Button down and left, and press Start on controller one simultaneously. A number will appear in the upper left corner. Changing this number with the direction pad will select a level from 1-8. This only works for the arcade mode.
Extra continues > At the title screen, select "OPTIONS" and then press Buttons A, B, and C. Release Button A, but continue to hold Buttons B and C. Select "EXIT" and press Start. Select the number of players. Select normal game and press Button A to begin with eight credits.
Extra magic > When you fight any boss, hold down Button A before the boss dies. When you enter the bonus stage, release Button A and do not attack any of the wizards. When the next level begins, you will have 99 spell books. NOTE: do not use too many spells at once, or the game will freeze.

Pass the three Mistral Winds and the Cyclops on the wall (it's not necessary that you destroy them), climb the ladders and stand on the highest block. Walk right up to the edge facing the pit. Now turn around and walk left to the other edge of the block. The game should automatically reset (you may have to walk back and forth several times). Repeat the invincibility code and select level five again. Walk back and forth on the same block until the game resets a second time. Press Start at the title screen (or use any other code) and note the bizarre colors as you play the game.
Japanese play > To play the Japanese version, select OPTION from the opening screen. Choose the last numbers for music (26) and sound (56). Then hold left and down diagonally while pressing all three buttons and Start.
Secret bonus > At the conclusion of each stage you can grab the key and receive a bonus 5,000 points as well as the message, "NICE CATCH!" Have the key on your left side, stand close to it, and jump towards the left. Timing is important, as well as accuracy. If you grab the key just as you begin your jump you should see the message and receive an extra 5,000 points.
Level select > As the title is dropping from top to bottom, press up, down, left, right. A musical chord will be played if it worked. Now press the pad in a direction while pressing all three buttons. Each direction will take you to a different level.

All of the above tricks can be combined. For example, to select the middle of the Castle with invincibility and slow-motion: press up, down, left, right while pressing Button A with each press of the D-Button. Then press Button A and Start, then Button A and C and Start. However, Japanese mode is a little different; for the same example the code would be: press Start, then press and hold right, Button A and C, and then press Start.
Slow-motion > Use the level select, invincibility, or Japanese play tricks. While the game is paused, press Start to pause the game. Pressing and holding Button B will cause the game to play in slow motion.
Flying tank > Play until you reach stage two and wait for the timer to reach 000. At the exact moment the timer reaches zero, drive your tank over the edge. Your tank will explode and the timer will be reset. When your new tank appears, you will be able to fly around and attack from outside the ship. This will last until the timer runs out again.
Slow motion > During gameplay, press Start to pause the game, then press down, Button A, C, up, left, and left. A chime will sound. To turn off slow-motion, pause the game, then press left, right, up, down, Button A, and C.
Flying Discs > During gameplay, press Start to pause the game, then press Button C, A, B, A, left, and left. A chime will sound. You will now have rapid-fire discs.
Infinite continues > At the title screen press and hold A, B, and C, then press Start 100 times. Now release and then press Button A. Change "CREDIT LIMIT" to "FREE PLAY" for unlimited continues.
Special pitch > Switch pitchers during the game with a player that is not a pitcher. The new player will have a special pitch called "FAT." The pitch is worthless, but is an interesting effect.

Unlimited continues > After "GAME OVER" appears, and the message "PRESS START BUTTON TO CONTINUE" follows it, push and hold the D-Button left and up, then press Button C. With every press of Button C, the number of continues increases by one.
Continue > To have a rematch against any boxer, press the D-Button up, Button B, and Start simultaneously. This only works once against each boxer.
Sound test > To listen to the game's music, press Start on controller two at the game select screen.
Exit > To open the exit on any level before you have fulfilled the requirements to complete it, at the title screen press and hold the D-Button left and Button C, then press Start. Hidden warp > In each mission, save or gather all of the available fish, lobster, or gold in the level before you warp. In the first mission, there is a warp located in the seaweed to the left of the entrance pipe next to a white rock. Positions Double Bubble Seven over the seaweed and press down to warp to level 6. Also on the first mission is a warp that will take you to Mission 11. After saving all the lobster, got to the far left and jump on the ledge out of the water. Move to the edge of the ledge and press down. In Mission 2, save all of the fish then move to the right of the entrance pipe where the flat area begins and press down. In Mission 4, after collecting all of the gold bars, go to the top left corner of the Section 1 screen below the entrance pipe and find the second depression from the left. Press down and warp to Mission 8.
Infinite lives > In the sports level, you can recieve infinte lives by picking up the items in this order: Lips, Ice cream, Violin, Earth, and Snowman.
Options menu > At the title screen, press and hold Buttons A and C, and press the D-Button down and left, then press Start. A menu will appear allowing you to change level, music, and pad controls.
Secret level > In Level 1, move right as far as possible and climb the building. Land on the far right rooftop, then walk left through the wall. You will be warped to a special area in the factory.

Shooting Star locations > By rescuing one specific child first on each level of the game, a shooting star will appear that, if caught, will change Michael into the robot. In Level 2-2 take the elevator to the top floor of the garage and rescue the child you find there. In Level 2-3 use the elevator to go up one floor and rescue the child there. In Level 3-3 rescue the child part of the way up the left side of the waterfall.
Level select > At the options screen, select sound test then choose the following settings:

Move the cursor to "EXIT", then hold the D-Button to the left for about 6-7 seconds. You will hear a short effect. Exit out of the menus, and the last menu will be the level select.

Bonus > Choose "View Char" from the non-combat menu. When you are asked "View which?" press and hold left and Buttons A and C, then release all three. After Nei is killed and during the fight with Neifirst, use Moon Dew to bring Nei back to life. When more characters fight together you suffer less damage as a group.
Extra continues > To increase the number of continues you get in Phelios, during the Chapter 1 introduction screen press Buttons C, A, B, A, C, A, B, A. This will increase the number of continues to nine.
Expert mode > The option to play "EXPERT [CHAP., 1-7]" will appear on the game selection screen after the first seven chapters have been defeated. The game play is the same, but Apollo starts with handicaps on lives and energy.

Three-way fight > Start the Practice or Grudge Match fights in one-player mode and then have the second play join in by pressing Start on Controller Two.

Invincibility > In a two player game, when one player runs out of energy, the other player should rapidly press Start on their controller pad. The "deceased" player should now be flashing in the center of the screen. The trick can be repeated and that player will be invincible for the rest of the game, provided the player does not collect any energy pills.
Extra lives > Hidden on the levels are various 1-up's and 2-up's that can be revealed by hitting them with your sword or shurikins. In the Bonus Stage you will receive a 3-up for hitting 50 ninjas, a 2-up for hitting 49, a 1-up for hitting 48, and a 1-up for hitting zero.
Level practice > At the title screen, press and hold Buttons A, B, and C, then press Start. The option "STAGE PRACTICE" will appear along with the "START" and "OPTIONS" selections. You can select a level, stage, and round you begin on, but no continues are allowed and the game ends after you complete that level, returning you to the level select screen.
Secret bonus > If you complete a round without using shurikins you will receive a "SHINOBI BONUS" message and 50,000 bonus points. By attacking the boss when there is ten seconds or less on the clock with ninja magic you will receive a 200,000 point bonus.
Invincibility > Play the game normally and die. At the name registration screen, enter ZQX. Then press and hold Buttons A, B, and C, and press Start. You will still lose hit points, but the counter will reset after reaching zero. NOTE: If you fall into a pit you will be stuck there until you reset the game, in which case the code has to be repeated.

Multi-select > At the title screen, press Buttons A, B, C, A, C, B, C, B, A, then press Start. Select the configuration screen and move the cursor to "START" and select a level. Move the cursor to "MODE" and press the D-Button Right until "MY99" appears. Select "EXIT" and then select "CONTINUE." You will start on the level you selected with 99 lives. To skip further levels, press Buttons A, B, and C simultaneously. To use slow motion, press any button while the game is paused.
Bonus ring > a giant gold ring will appear at the end of the first two acts of any stage (excluding the Scrap Brain Zone) if you have 50 or more rings. Once the ring is collected, Sonic proceeds to the Special Stage.
Chaos Emeralds > To collect all the Chaos Emeralds and max out Sonic's continues, use the level select trick to jump to the Special Stage. Try and collect one hundred rings for a continue, then collect the Chaos Emerald. After the score screen following the Special Stage, press Reset and repeat. The Emeralds and continues will carry over.
Debug mode > At the title screen, immediately after Sonic has started to shake his finger, press the D-Button up, down, left, right. With each press of the D-Button, press Button C. (This only works on first run carts; for new carts: C, C, C, C, up, down, left, right, a + Start, Mega Drive version: up + C, down + C, down + C, left + C, right + C, A + C + Start. NOTE: In all the following tricks, substitue the appropriate code here for the <CODE> in the trick.) You should hear a chime. Press and hold Button A and then press Start until Green Hill Act 1 appears. If the trick worked, the score should be two strings of eight-digit hexadecimal numbers. Press Button B to enter debug mode. Press Button A to change what Sonic is while in debug mode and press Button C to place one in the playfield. Sonic is invincible while in debug mode. Be careful not to land on a long bed of spikes, as you might get "trapped". Sonic will bounce indefinitely and you will be forced to reset the game.
The hex codes give Sonic's location (X & Y coordinates) in the game. The first line is Sonic's global location (in the act), the second is his local location (on the screen. The Time line tells the number of sprites on screen. Rings displays the number of rings Sonic is currently holding.
Some sprites look like garbage, but they too are items in the level. Most recognizable will be a giant "ring" of garbage, this is the bonus ring at the end of the act! (provided you get 50+ rings.) Another notable item is the hidden bonus banners from the end of the acts. Be warned, if you stamp a giant ring, then jump into it, the game will get "stuck".
Normally when you finish an act, you are "forced" off screen. Just hit Button B, move yourself back on, and change back to Sonic! You're now free to run around that part of the level. Also in the bonus stages, change and maneuver yourself outside the maze, change back and fall!
Demo trick > To prevent Sonic from jumping during the demo, press and hold Buttons A and C. NOTE: This works only on the American Genesis cart only.
Ending sequences > At the title screen, press Button C seven times, then <CODE>. Wait for the demo to come & go (might not be necessary) and at the title screen now press, <CODE>. Then press Button A + Start. The Stage Select will appear. Go to the "Sound Select" line, select 9E or 9F and press A. 9E will roll the credits, 9F will show the ending sequence then roll the credits. NOTE: This is for the Japanese MD cart only.
Options select > At the title screen, immediately after Sonic has started to shake his finger, enter the <CODE>. You should hear a chime. Press and hold Button A and then Press Start. A menu will appear allowing you to select any stage and act, as well as sample the game's music.
Slow motion > On the Japanese MD game, at the title screen, press Button C twice and enter <CODE>. You should hear a chime if it worked. Start the game as normal, and while playing, press Start to pause the game. Now press Button A to reset the game (resets to "Sonic Team Presents" rather than "SEGA" screen). Press Button B to run the game in slow motion. And press Button C to run the game frame-by-frame. For the American Genesis game enter the "Debug Mode" code.
Secret bonus > At the end of the first two acts of any stage (excluding the Scrap Brain Zone) you can get bonus points by doing high jumps in the area to the right of the sign. It is also possible to move back onto the screen from the far right within a limited span of time.
Time bonus > If you finish an act in 29 seconds or less, you will get a 50,000 point time bonus.
Debug > Use the level select trick, below. At the level select sound test, choose sound 01, 09, 09, 02, 01, 01, 02, and 04, pressing Button C after each selection. Select a stage from the menu, then press and Hold Button A, then press Start. Continue to hold down Button A until the game starts.
Extra continues > At the title screen, select the options screen. At the options menu, move the cursor to "SOUND TEST." Select sounds 01, 01, 02, 04 pressing Button C after each selection. Press Start to exit the options screen. After the "GAME OVER" message the continue screen will appear with 14 continues. Song number 4 will play throughout the game and there will be no sound effects.
Level select > At the title screen, select the options screen. At the options menu, move the cursor to "SOUND TEST." Select sounds 19, 65, 09, and 17, pressing Button C after each selection. Press Start to exit the options screen. When the title screen appears again, press and hold Button A, then press start. A level select screen will appear along with a sound test.
Super sonic > Use the level select trick. At the level select sound test, choose sounds 04, 01, 02, and 06, pressing Button C after each selection. Select a stage from the menu, press and hold Button A, then press Start. Once you have 50 or more rings, jump into the air. Sonic will change into Super Sonic, and your rings will slowly decrease.
At the title screen, as soon as Sonic appears to wave his finger, press up, up, down, down, up, up, up, up. A chime will sound. Highlight "COMPETITION" and press down. Select the sound test option for a sound test/level select menu.
Level skip > At the options screen, press the following sequence: A, down, B, down, C, down, A, B, up, A, C, up, B, C, up. You will hear a chime. Then at the title screen, press A, B, or C and then Start to warp to levels 2, 3, or 4 respectively.
Level select > Press the D-Button left or right during STUNA area screen to select any level. You still have to finish 12 levels to finish the game though - after the 12th it will wrap around to the first, then second, etc.
Options select > Hold down Button A during title screen.

Same character > Select a two player game. At the player select screen press down and C simultaneously. A chime will sound. You will now be able to select the same character for both players.
Permanent Dipodal Saucers > Get two robots by breaking open the containers. One of the subsequent containers you find will have a Robo-Panther inside. Open this container, but do not touch the Panther. Get hit so that you lose one robot, then activate the Panther by touching it. Eventually, the panther will disappear and be replaced by two robots which will stay with you until you fall off the screen or use a continue.
Last Race Password > Here is the password for the end of the "ORIGINAL" mode game: 6FF3F546F35564 FFOSLPIMFJEDGH. Although that game ends with this code, playing with this bike in the arcade game will be a little easier.

Additionally, if Start is pressed again, a Deck (enemy soldier) will appear that can be controlled by Controller 2; however, it can only do damage to Rex, and is still can be destroyed by the same amount of damage a Deck normally can take.
Rotate and resize logo > at the company logo screen, using Controller 2, push Buttons A and C and up and right at the same time. You now can rotate and change the size of the logo using the D-Button and Buttons A and C.
Unlimited continues > to earn nine continues begin the game and finish as many levels as possible before you die. Go to the options screen and select PAD RESET as CANCEL. While still in the options screen, press Button C and Start together. A graphic and the message "CONTINUE UP" will appear. Exit the option screen and play normally. Repeat this trick when your continues are less than three to bring the amount back up to nine.

View stills > To view the digitized stills alone, press and hold the D-Button up and then press Start just before the picture comes. Keep holding up until you wish to continue.
Level skip > At the title screen, press the D-button up, down, left, right until you hear "Excellent." Start the game. During game play, press Start to pause the game, then press Buttons A, B, and C simultaneously to skip directly to the end of the level.
Multi-select > While driving press and hold Buttons A, B, and C. A screen will appear in the windshield allowing you to turn music and sound on or off, as well as to quit or resume the game.
Options menu > At the title screen, press Start to enter the game select screen. Move the cursor to "MUSIC SELECT" and press Button A 13 times. Next, move the cursor to "SOUND SELECT" and press Button A 24 times. Last, move the cursor to Exit and press Button A, Button B, and then Button C. Choose levels and add continues by pressing Button A.
Options select > At the title screen, press and hold Buttons A, B, and C, then press Start. You will now be able to select the level, difficulty, and other options.
Ending sequence > At the ending sequence of the game you can make the characters' hands wave and eyes blink by pressing Button C.
Full weapons > Anywhere during the game, hit Start to pause the game and press the D-Button up ten times, Button B, down twice, and Button B until the weapon meter is full. Press Button A for the Claw. Hit Start to unpause the game and you will now be able to select from any of the weapons without any trouble. Repeat when needed.
Options select > At the title screen, press and hold Buttons A, B, and C, then press Start. This brings up a screen allowing the selection of ship speed, difficulty, and sound effects.
Passwords > Use the following password to jump to any stage of the game: NGQQ WWQW QKWQ QWWQ WGRY. The map screen will appear, allowing any level to be selected. The following passwords allow you to select any level:

Extra lives > Several of the Asteroids have green, red, or blue buildings. Shooting the building with the weapon of the same color reveals a 1-up.
Super bombs > To extend the power of the Truxton bomb, use a bomb and then pause the game for 25 to 30 seconds. Unpause the game, at which point the enemy will be destroyed.
Multi-select > Move the arrow to the bottom of the screen and continue to press the D-Button down, then press Buttons A, B, B, A, B, A, A, B, A, A, B, A, A. If you have done this correctly an options menu will appear, allowing you to choose infinite mines, granades [sic], lines, time, power, spirals, lives, and start level.
Extra bombs > Press Start to pause the game, then press up, down, left, right. Press and hold Button B, then press Start. You will now have a full complement of 8 bombs. This trick can be repeated at any time.
Extra continues > Press Start at the title screen to go to the next (green) screen. Press Button A until you have the maximum of 14 credits.
Full weapon power > Press Start to pause the game, then press up, down, left, right. Press and hold Button A, then press Start. Your shots will now be full powered-up, as well as any option weapons collected.
Level select > At the title screen, press Start to display the green options screen. Then press up, down, left, right and press Start. The message "STAGE SELECT" will appear. Use the D-Button to select a level.
View ending > Press start at the title screen to go to the next (green) screen, then press up, down, left right. Press and hold Buttons A, B, and C and then press Start. The screen will flash white and the ending will begin.
Extra continues > Start a one-player game and play normally. When you are on your last continue and nearly out of energy, press Start on Controller Two, kill off your first player and continue with the second player.

Music test > At the title screen, press and hold Buttons A, B, and C and then press Start. Press Buttons A, B, or C to change the music selection.
Level select > At the title screen, press and hold the D-Button up and Buttons A, B, and C, then press and hold Start until a blank screen appears. "SELECT MAP 000" will appear. Use the D-Button to select a level and press Start to begin.
Visual select > At the title screen press and hold the D-Button up and left and Buttons A and C, then press Start. A menu will appear allowing you to select from any of the animated interludes.
Race backwards > Press and hold up, A, and B while turning on the game until the Sega logo appears and after the screen flashes white. Keep holding the buttons and rapidly press Start. In the mode select screen, "VIRTUA RACING" should be backwards. All tracks under the Virtua Racing menu will be reversed.

Tug of war > Start a new game and press Start on Controller One. Move the cursor to the far right of the "Load data" option. With Controller Two, press and hold Start, then press Button A on Controller One. A tug of war game will appear. Press Start to begin and press Button C repeatedly on either controller to move the marker.

Easy mode > Go to the options screen and while the cursor is on "GAME LEVEL" press and hold Buttons A, B, and C and press Start.
Level select > Choose the options menu from the title screen. Move the cursor to "CONTROL" and wait 15 seconds. Press Button A and "STAGE" will appear on the screen. Use the D-Button to select a level.
Level select > On Controller One press and hold the D-Button down and Buttons A and C while turning on the Genesis. When the title screen appears press Start on Controller One, press Start on Controller Two, then press Start on Controller One again. When you start the game
while in the control room, pick one of the access panels (from left to right, 1, 2, 3, etc.) and warp to the level of your choice. During gameplay, you can also pause the game and then un-pause to fill your mutant power gauge.
Brightness adjustment > During gameplay, press and hold Start to pause the game, then press down, up, left, left. This will un-dim the "PAUSED" screen.
Extra energy/time > During gameplay, press and hold Start to pause the game, then press B, A, right, right, A, C, up, down, A. You will now have six energy bars and 30 additional seconds. Alternatively, press and hold Start to pause the game, then press right, A, down, A, right, B, left, up, right. Simultaneously press Buttons A, B, and C to restart the game. Press Start to begin the game and you will have 240 energy bars and the timer will be set to 999.
Extra life > During gameplay, press and hold Start to pause the game, then press down, up, left, left, A, right, down. Press Start to unpause the game and you will receive an extra life.
Level select > During gameplay, press and hold Start to pause the game, press C, right, A, B, B A, left, left, A, down. You will now be able to change the first two digits on the timer to correspond to a world and level number. Press up or down to change the world, and left or right to change the level. Simultaneously press A, B, and C to jump levels. The game will return to the title screen. Press Start to begin the game, and you will be taken to the level you selected.
Options select > Press Start at the title screen. When the player select screen appears, press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, Button A, Button B. NOTE: Some features were disabled in production copies.
