Level skip > Select the options menu and select "DRIVING" for game type. Press the D-Button left, then press Button B. Move the cursor to "DIFFICULTY" and press the D-Button left and press Button B. Repeat this for all seven options working downwards. Repeat again, except working up the list to option one. You will hear a chime indicating the cheat worked. You may then change any option as desired. During gameplay, press Start to pause the game and then Button C to skip a level.
Cinema select > At the name entry menu, enter FOMA. Go back to the main menu and select "OPERATION BHA" and choose FOMA as your name. A new menu will appear in Japanese that allows you to select from the cinema displays in the game. The game must be reset to exit from the menu.
Instant kill > At the name entry menu, enter BIGNET. Return to the main menu and select "OPERATION BHA" and choose BIGNET as your name. During the game, press Start on Controller Two to kill your opponent instantly.
Invincibility > At the name entry menu, enter MUTEKI. Return to the main menu and select "OPERATION BHA" and choose MUTEKI as your name. You will be unaffected by your enemy's attacks.
Secret game > At the name entry menu, enter AZY. Go back to the main menu and select "OPERATION BHA" and choose AZY as your name. A new title screen, "BLACK BALL ASSAULT," will appear.

Level skip > At the title screen, press A, B, right, A, C, A, down, B, right, and A, then press Start. During gameplay, press up while holding Button A to skip to the next level. At the last level, you can jump to the last boss by pressing right and Button A simultaneously.
Level select > At the title screen, press up, left, right, right, up, then Start. Begin the game. When the screen shows "STAGE 1," press the D-Button right to scroll through the levels, then press Start to begin the game. During game play, press Start to skip to the end of the level.
Training mode > At the title screen, press up, down, left, right, down, then Start. A new difficulty level, "TRAINING," will appear in the options menu.
Invincibility > Enter the password as normal, and as the level title appears, press and hold Button A and Start. When the level begins it will be paused. Release Button A, then press Start to unpause. Ecco should now be invincible.
Multi-select > During gameplay, pause the game so that Ecco faces out of the screen (i.e. halfway through a turn), then press: right, B, C, B, C, down, C, up. A debug menu will appear.

Extra footage > Lose a game, and during the credits, press C, B, A in one quick motion, then Start.
Level skip > At the title screen, select "Options". While in the options screen, move the cursor to the box containing the number "1" and a name in the upper left corner. Erase the name and enter the name MAR in place of it. Return to the main menu and choose the World Tour option. During gameplay, press Start to pause the game, then press Buttons A, B, and C simultaneously. You will jump to the end of the race.
Change replay view > While in replay mode, press Buttons A, B, or C to change the view from behind to quarterback, regular, or bird's eye view. Press Button B to switch to the football's viewpoint.

Candle Room: The exit to the butterfly room is the candle to the left of the moon, which must be extinguished in order to open the door. The exit to the basement is found by setting the pattern of lit and unlit candles to that shown on the dartboard (which can be found in the clue from the book in the Library, or in the Game Room). The pattern is as follows:

Note that "L" represents a lit candle and "U" represents a candle which must be extinguished. The "*" is the only candle in the room which starts out unlit, and must be lit last using the matches.
Maze of Doors: The solution to the maze is found by passing through only those doors whose sum of the numbers on the door equal a multiple of 3. The correct sequence is: 3, 33, 777, 345, 333, 12, and 27.
Extra footage > At the title screen, press and hold Buttons A and C, then press Start. this will bring up the options menu. Gore code > At the "Codes of Honor" screen, enter the following code: A, B, A, C, A, B, and B. If the trick was successful, the lettering will take on a red tint and you will hear Scorpion say "Get over here!" Full gore and fatalities will be in effect.
Extra footage > Watch the credits at the end of the game. When "In Memory of Stephen D. Hassenfeld" appears, press up, A, A, A, A, A. You will be shown footage from the December, 1986 demonstration of the NEMO game system for a group of Hasbro executives.

Test mode > At the "GAME START"/"OPTIONS" menu press right, left, up, down, right, left, up. The option "TEST MODE" will then appear on the menu. You will be able to select any of the scenes in the game for playback.
Multi-select > At the title screen, press Start to go to the "GAME START/OPTIONS MODE" menu. Press up (and up only) to move the cursor to the "OPTIONS MODE" selection and press Start. Make sure the cursor is now on the "PLAYERS" selection. The following tricks can now be performed:
Debug > At the "PLAYERS" option, press Button A five times, then Button C. Exit the options mode and begin the game. During game play press Buttons A, B, and C simultaneously. The screen will fill with hex numbers (presumably) giving a continuous update on the status of the game.
Demo > At the "PLAYERS" option, press Button A five times, then Button B. Exit the options mode and begin the game. The game will play through without user input.
Level skip > At the "PLAYERS" option, press Button A four times, Button B, then Button C. Exit the options mode and begin the game. During game play, press Start to pause, then Button C to skip to the end of the level.
Pause > At the "PLAYERS" option, press Button A four times, Button B, then Button A. Exit the options mode and begin the game. During game play press Start to pause the game.
Stage select > At the "PLAYERS" option, press Button A six times. Exit the options mode and begin the game. A stage select screen will appear. Press the D-Button right to change the level.

The points cost per move are: 7 every time you talk to someone, 5 everytime you ask the Irregulars something, and 1 everytime that you look in Holmes' files.
Here's how to get a perfect score of 26 on "The Mummy's Curse."
Extra continues > During the demo, press right, up, A, B, C, left, left, down, C, A, and Start. The title screen should now show ten continues.
Extra shields > During the opening demo (after the Game Arts logo), using Controller One, press right, left, A, right, up, C, B, down, left, B, A, up, and Start. Then, when you have no shields remaining during the game, press A on Controller Two for full shields.
Level select > During the opening demo (after the Game Arts logo), enter the following
code: down, down, up, up, right, left, right, left, A, B, then Start. There should now be a Stage Select option at the main level. You can even view the cinemas from here.
Mania mode > During the opening demo, using Controller Two, press B, B, A, C, up, left, right, down, C, up, and A.
Voice test > On Controller Two, press and hold Buttons A, B, and C, then using Controller One, move the cursor to "OPTIONS" and press Start. The options screen will appear with the sound test replaced with a voice test.
Multi-select > At the title screen, press Buttons A, B, C, A, C, B, C, B, A, then press Start. Select the configuration screen and move the cursor to "START" and select a level. Move the cursor to "MODE" and press the D-Button Right until "MY99" appears. Select "EXIT" and then select "CONTINUE." You will start on the level you selected with 99 lives. To skip further levels, press Buttons A, B, and C simultaneously. To use slow motion, press any button while the game is paused.
Beat the clock > First, finish the game successfully. Now play Time Attack and beat the following times for some special options.
37'26" If you beat this time you can play the bonus stages in Time Attack.
30'21" Beating this time adds a new item to the main menu. To the left of "RAM Data" there will be an entry titled "D.A. Garden". It's a picture of the little planet. With the controller you can rotate the planet (with B), zoom it in and out (with C), and listen to all the music in the game (with A). It allows you to listen to the regular music, a good mix, and a bad mix for each level.
25'46" Finally, if you can beat this time another menu item appears. To the left of "D.A. Garden" you'll find "Visual Mode". It allows you to watch the introduction, the good ending, the bad ending, and a pencil test of Sonic running around. It also has a cool picture of Sonic as the background.
Level Select > At the title screen, press up, down, down, left, right, Button B.
Sound test > At the title screen, press down, down, down, left, right, Button A. Special things will happen on the following sound combinations:

Level skip > At the start/difficulty screen, move the cursor to "NORMAL", press Button A to cycle through the difficulty options and hold it once "NORMAL" is selected again. While continuing to hold A, press C and Start. You should hear a chime. Continue to hold the three buttons and press up to skip a level. You may repeatedly press up to skip all the way to the last level.
Options select > At the start game/options screen, press and hold right, then press B, C, B, B and release all buttons. The cursor should change from an arrow to a square. Press Start to select a special options menu. You may choose one of three different guns, up to nine lives, and up to 98 bombs.
Level skip > During gameplay, pause the game, then press Button C. You will skip to the end of the level and receive a password for the Visual Mode.
