The VLSI project of the design team I worked on was a Manchester 8-bit fast adder. It takes two 8-bit numbers and a carry-in, and generates an 8-bit sum and a carry-out.

Testing outputs include sampled generate and propagate signals, and multiplexed intermediate outputs from the Manchester carry chain (two four-to-one multiplexers, two inputs and two outputs).
The project was designed using MAGIC VLSI CAD software, along with CRYSTAL and ESIM.
Chip performance is approximately 40 ns from inputs to outputs.
Equal credit for this project belongs to my partner, Jeff Pierce.
